Revealing...Advice for Waiting on the Lord!

What to do while you're waiting on the Lord.

What is required of YOU while you wait? Visit site to read more...

I have a friend who once gave me some great advice:

"nothing is required while you wait".

Think about it.... When you are waiting in line or waiting in a doctor's office nothing is required except for you to wait. Now, you may not like it very well and it's definitely not fun to wait. If you are an active person this can be a very difficult time. You can't get up and do something else while you are supposed to be waiting. Okay Facebooking, Pinteresting, even blogging while you wait is not what I am talking about here!

I mean... you can't STOP waiting to do something else.

For instance, you can't get out of line at the grocery store to do more shopping and keep your place in line. You can leave but it will only prolong the check out process.

Are YOU waiting on the Lord for something? Maybe something you have prayed about and you are waiting on the answer. Maybe you received a promise from the Lord through a prophetic word and it hasn't come to pass. Maybe you are waiting on direction before you take the next step.

Rest in the fact that nothing is required while you wait. Just keep doing the last thing God told you to do. We can really mess things up if we get "out of line" with God's plan. If you go off trying to do something else on your own you are going to prolong the process, your answer, and your promises.

So, even though now seems like such a stressful time, trust in the Lord that his timing is not our timing. He will not fail you and your answer will be Right On Time!

Do you need some encouragement today? Are you waiting on something that is just taking FOREVER?

5 Simple ways to Encourage a Stranger

Being an ENCOURAGER does not take a lot of time, effort, or money.

Just a smile, a kind word, or a thoughtful gesture can make someone's day or even give them hope to get through a tough situation.

Maybe your cashier is having a bad day; it only takes a minute to say, "I hope your day gets better". What if you see an elderly person struggling to load their groceries in the car? Would you take the time to help them?

All too often we get so caught up in our own lives that we don't notice what the person next to us is going through. I know I'm guilty! It is easy to get caught up in going from one task to the next... staying on schedule... marking ALL those things off the To Do List!

A few weeks ago I was pulling into the parking lot of a local dollar store when I noticed a woman on an electric scooter. She pulled right up to the handicap ramp, next to a pole, so she could hang onto it as she stood up. By this time, I was out of my vehicle and walking by. I spoke to her and held my hand out for assistance and offered to help her. She said, "Oh no, I got it! Just trying to get out a bit like my doctor tells me to." She didn't "need" my help but she was sooo appreciative. We chatted as we walked in together. She definitely wasn't smiling when I first saw her, but now she was grinning. I think she was happy just because someone noticed and spoke to her. I could have easily walked past her without saying a thing but I am sure glad I didn't... It made us both happy.

The obsession of Judging People on Facebook

Recently an article popped up on my news feed. It was a news article shared by a "friend". I knew the person whom the article was about so I clicked on it to read more. I wondered if what I was reading was true and I really wondered if the person who shared it even knew the people it was about or if they just shared it to be sharing.

True or not it was about the past. This person had been through a lot in the past couple of years and although I was acquainted with them I did not know enough of the facts to know if it was the complete truth. But here this person's past was being put out there for ALL to see. And being shared over and over again...
The Do's and Dont's of sharing on Facebook

I had several thoughts and emotions over this. Is that crazy? It was just a Facebook post...I could have easily scrolled right on past it. But I didn't. I prayed for this young lady and her family. I prayed that truth be revealed. I prayed that forgiveness be shown to her in a supernatural way. Here she is trying to move forward in what the Lord was leading her to do and the enemy had to throw up an obstacle.

We have to be careful not to believe everything we read on the internet. Believe it or not it is NOT all true! LOL And seriously, if you don't know if it is true...please don't share it. That only hurts everyone involved.

  • Believe everything you read on the internet
  • Share before you know if it is true
  • Put other people's past on social media
  • Put your own trash on Facebook or other social media
  • Pray for situations and concerns that you see
  • Encourage those that are having a rough time
  • Think about what you are posting/sharing
  • Put positive encouraging posts on social media

Do you remember the Golden Rule?

Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Luke 6:31 NIV
Do to others as you would have them do to you and how this applies to Facebook posts

Has something hurtful about you been put on Social Media? How did you handle it? What would you tell someone who is dealing with this right now?
